In the same way that color trended (neutrals), so did certain textures, like bouclé and plaster walls. The pendulum is also swinging back in the opposite direction.
“We will see more silk and linen wallpapers, the use of more mohair in upholstery,” Chamlee says.
Alex Bass, founder of Salon 21, a fine art and interior design studio, sees mix-and-match vintage table linens bringing texture to homes in 2025.
“Whenever I go thrifting, I am always on the hunt for something with my initials or that of friends and family,” Bass says. “I found these two beautiful French tea towels with my initials on them at a flea market in France last summer and I treasure them!”
