With Kharmas ending, families can now look forward to celebrating weddings and other sacred ceremonies with joy and devotion. (News18 Hindi)
In Hinduism, the period of Kharmas is considered inauspicious for performing sacred ceremonies such as weddings, mundan (tonsure), yagyopaveet (sacred thread ceremony), and grihapravesh (housewarming). However, this phase will conclude on the night of April 13, when the Sun transitions from Pisces to Aries.
From April 14 onwards, auspicious events can resume. Families and couples planning to marry and are still waiting to finalise dates can choose any auspicious date from April.
Auspicious Marriage Muhurats In April
Speaking to Local18, astrologer Dr Narendra Dharne revealed nine auspicious dates for marriage in April:
- April 14 – Krishna Paksha, Dwitiya Tithi (second day) of Vaishakh month
- April 16 – Krishna Paksha, Tritiya and Chaturthi Tithi (third and fourth day)
- April 18 – Krishna Paksha, Panchami and Shashthi Tithi (fifth and sixth day)
- April 19 – Krishna Paksha, Shashthi and Saptami Tithi (sixth and seventh day)
- April 20 – Krishna Paksha, Saptami and Ashtami Tithi (seventh and eighth day)
- April 21 – Krishna Paksha, Ashtami and Navami Tithi (eighth and ninth day)
- April 25 – Krishna Paksha, Dwadashi and Trayodashi Tithi (twelfth and thirteenth day)
- April 29 – Shukla Paksha, Dwitiya and Tritiya Tithi (second and third day)
- April 30 – Shukla Paksha, Tritiya and Chaturthi Tithi (third and fourth day)
