Mirrors
Lennart Weibull
“This is my number one must. Mirrors add so much to any wall they are on. They can be beautiful additions to a gallery or just a focal point to an area. The best part is they reflect and add light into any space they are in. You can find the most unique mirrors thrifting too,” says Jenasie Earl, expert vintage treasure hunter and owner of Ms Vicious Design.

Wall shelves are functional décor—the more unique, the better. “I love adding in a little vintage wall shelf to set a plant or cute statue on. They add interest and dimension to a wall. I especially love adding them into gallery walls to create an unexpected element to the art,” says Earl.
Tapestries
If you have a lot of space to fill, consider hunting for unique printed or textured tapestries. “I love that tapestries are lightweight and are renter-friendly. Large art without the big price tag when thrifting,” says Earl.
Frames
Picture frames with either little or a lot of character are an ideal thrift store find. “Beautiful and unique ones can be hard to find, so when you see them, buy them. You can frame a picture you already have, print art to fit, hang another piece of art inside to double up the frame, or have a mirror cut to go inside,” says Earl.
If you have existing pictures or art, there’s a lot you can do to refurbish vintage frames and make them your own. “The frame and original mat internal framing (if part of the framed piece) can easily be painted with a roller and/or spray painter if you happen to find the right size and style in the wrong colors,” says Taylor Jochim-Smoot, vintage expert and founder of Portland Revibe.
Wall Lights
Stephen Kent Johsnson
Adding unique lighting fixtures to showcase framed pictures or serve as an accent piece is a great wall décor find. “Crafting a vintage metal tray into a wall mounted bubble lamp or an older decorative plate into a small sconce lamp,” says Jochim-Smoot.
Wall Planters

If you lack the surface space to keep greenery in your home, consider using wall planters to showcase your lush décor. “Plant pots and woven wall baskets to create the most gorgeous living wall setups,” says Jochim-Smoot.
Wall Hooks

Turning everyday, mundane items into something more appealing is an art. “Thrift stores are often full of quality wooden and metal shelving, key hooks, wall mounted coat racks, magnetic white boards and other items that can spare you the headache of not having a home for your daily items,” says Taylor Jochim-Smoot.
Curtains
Kristen Franic
“One thing the thrift stores are never short on are curtains,” says Taylor Jochim-Smoot. If your wall space includes a window, add a pop of color or texture with curtains. The curtains will beautifully complement your existing décor.
Portraits and Paintings
John Derian
“You can find beautiful paintings thrifting for great prices. I love creating gallery walls around them. Or creating a theme wall, like portraits,” says Earl. “Vintage portrait walls are very popular right now! Plus, they are timeless.”
