Julia Roberts Recreated One of Her Most Iconic Award Show Looks From the ’90s
For more than three decades, Julia Roberts has always stood out on the red carpet with her best-dressed fashion. But arguably, none of her looks have become more iconic than the gray Armani pantsuit she wore to the 1990 Golden Globes. It’s an outfit that will forever live rent free in our minds, but for anyone who may have forgotten, the actress offered a reminder while wearing a strikingly similar suit in Paris this week.
On Friday, Roberts collected the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters Award at the French Ministry of Culture, where she opted for an oversized, slate-colored blazer that featured broad shoulders and a white button-down underneath. On bottom, she wore a matching pair of cropped, wide-leg pants and accessorized with pointed-toe Roger Vivier pumps in the same shade.

Her signature auburn hair was worn down in loose, shoulder-length waves with a center part and she finished off her glam with rosy cheeks and a pink lip.
Last year, Roberts spoke with British Vogue about her statement-making menswear suit at the Globes while looking back at her all-time favorite outfits. “I did my hair, my girlfriend did my make-up… I don’t even know that people wore really fancy gowns to the Golden Globes then the way they do now, but I thought that I was very extra in this outfit,” she said.

“I could not have known that it was going to become this, like, statement outfit. I just thought I looked fabulous, and I still have that suit.”
