This recall was announced after the West Virginia Department of Agriculture analyzed samples of the product and found that it tested positive for Listeria. While there are no illnesses connected to this recall, Listeria infection (listeriosis) can be severe for those who are age 65 or older, immunocompromised, pregnant or young children. Common symptoms include fever, headaches, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. More severe symptoms may include stiffness, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions.
