Pamela Anderson is in her homemaker era. She moved to Vancouver Island, British Columbia, in Canada in 2020 and set up a gorgeous garden. She released a cookbook in 2024, I Love You, of vegetable-based recipes. She even makes her own rose hip oil, salt scrubs, and candles.

With such an overflowing fruit and vegetable garden—and all its produce needed for her recipes—she has the biggest garden accessory of 2025 on hand: harvesting baskets.

She even used a produce box to hold her fruit and veggies when she was in France.

In years past, when I harvested my fruits and veggies, I just made a basket out of my shirt, or I took as many tomatoes in as my hands could carry. But that’s not going to work for 2025. We need to give our gardens and the produce we’ve grown the respect and carrying case they deserve.

One of the more popular style of produce baskets is the hod basket, originally used in Maine by clammers for easily rinsing the day’s catch. The wire body makes it easy to rinse off your produce as well. That’s one way you could go, but I love the look of a wicker or woven basket. It has the vintage, rustic, authentic look and feel that I want when I’m working in my garden.

Plus, if you treat yourself to a beautiful wicker basket, you can repurpose it all year when you’re not harvesting fruits and veggies. Use it for picnics, gift baskets, storing your knitting, stashing hand towels—anything that would benefit from a pretty container.
