Hero MotoCorp Shares In Focus Today

Hero MotoCorp Share Price: Shares of Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, are likely to be in focus today following the resignation of Sameer Pande, the HR Head for Talent Management, along with four other senior executives, as reported by CNBC-TV18 citing industry sources. This unconfirmed development appears to have weighed on Hero MotoCorp’s stock, which ended the day near its lows, down nearly 0.7%.

The report highlighted that the resigned officials were responsible for key functions, including electric mobility and human resources, although the reasons behind their exits were not disclosed. Moneycontrol has yet to independently verify this information.

The four senior officials who resigned are:

  • Reema Jain, Chief Information & Digital Officer and Executive Management Team member
  • Swadesh Srivastava, Chief Business Officer for Emerging Mobility BU & Chair of the Innovation Council
  • Dharm Rakshit, Head of HR
  • Chandrasekar Radhakrishnan, Head of Business Growth for Emerging Mobility

This wave of resignations follows the earlier departure of Hero MotoCorp’s CEO Niranjan Gupta, who stepped down with his last working day scheduled for April 30. Vikram Kasbekar, Executive Director (Operations), has been appointed as the Acting CEO, effective May 1, 2025.

Hero MotoCorp has faced scrutiny over its corporate governance since 2023. However, earlier this month, sources informed Moneycontrol that the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) found no violations of corporate governance or financial misconduct after investigating the company for almost two years.

Hero MotoCorp shares recently hit a 52-week low of Rs 3,462 per share on March 17, reflecting a decline of over 43% from their 52-week high of Rs 6,246 per share, which was recorded in September 2024.
