‘Meticulously planning’: J-Hope reveals details about BTS’ highly anticipated comeback, his world tour, and military service

BTS’s J-Hope is dominating our feeds, and we couldn’t be happier! He’s currently on his HOPE ON THE STAGE world tour, releasing fresh music, and making waves on variety shows. In a recent interview on Jung Jae Hyung’s Fairy Jae Hyung YouTube channel, J-Hope gave what ARMYs are calling his best interview yet.

During the interview, J-Hope, also known as Hobi among fans of the group, discussed a number of topics, including BTS’ comeback, his military service, and world tour.

J-Hope confirms BTS’ comeback

J-Hope shared exciting news about BTS’s future plans. With RM and other members currently serving in the military, Hobi hinted that whole group activities will likely happen once everyone is discharged in June 2025. When asked about plans, he revealed that preparations are underway, but they’re being meticulous about it. “We have to be meticulous about it,” he said. As for what’s next after discharge, J-Hope teased that they’ll be preparing for various BTS-related activities, stating, “I believe we’ll be preparing for various BTS-related activities.”

J-Hope subtly addressed a burning question among ARMYs, implying that BTS remains a 7-member group despite uncertainty around Suga’s comeback following his DUI scandal. When discussing individual music projects, he mentioned “all seven members”, highlighting the difficulties of synchronising their diverse styles and timelines.

“Each of the seven have completely different styles. We like different things, and we now have our own preferences. We’re working with different timelines… So it has been challenging to keep our schedules seamless,” he said.

J-Hope on his ongoing world tour

J-Hope reflected on his successful HOPE ON THE STAGE World Tour, expressing surprise at the overwhelming fan response. “I was worried if many fans would come after my long break,” he admitted. Despite his concerns, the singer was thrilled to see fans singing along, including to BTS’s Mic Drop. When asked about fans singing “Sorry, Mom”, J-Hope jokingly said, “Everyone felt sorry for their parents in that situation,” but acknowledged it made him proud.

Hobi talks about his military service

When host Jung asked him about his military service, particularly the shower situation in the ARMY, the rapper-dancer was taken aback but shared a funny response that has gone viral now.

Revealing they all had to shower together, he said as soon as he entered the training centre, it was his first thought. Then he shared that he told himself to be bold and instead joke about it. He said he would often tell his fellow comrade that you are all going to get a look at a celebrity’s body. “That’s why I ended up completely exposed to avoid being embarrassed,” he said.

When will BTS reunite?

BTS fans are eagerly waiting for the group’s reunion, which is expected to happen in less than three months. This reunion will mark the end of their hiatus, which began in 2022 when the members started their mandatory military service in South Korea.
