Espacio 18 Arquitectura designs the Casa Tobi, which is nestled on the rugged coastline of Oaxaca to seamlessly blend its architecture with nature. The retreat embraces minimalism with reimagined traditional elements in a fluid form. It faces the Pacific Ocean and has a jungle behind it. The residence follows the land’s natural structure as the calm reflecting pool welcomes guests with mirrors of the jungle and sunsets.

The walkway descends from the terraces with a narrow build to create a feeling of intimacy and highlights the double-height communal space. The lower level features bedrooms with earthy tones. There is scattered water that is seen throughout the home to highlight the cascading rock formations of Hierve el Agua.
