As a fashion writer, I’m pretty picky about my clothes. One category I’m especially particular about, though, is leggings. When shopping for leggings, I’m looking for pairs that are comfortable, stay up without slipping, and of course, look flattering. Lucky for me, I found a pair that Amazon shoppers say fits all my boxes. 

Purchased by over 3,000 people this month, the $36 Aurola workout leggings are fan favorites. The stretchy pants are made from a nylon and polyester blend with a comfortable high waistband and butt-boosting scrunched detail on the backside. They come in over 30 colors and sizes XSl through XL.

Leggings are my go-to workout style, but I could also see myself wearing these comfy pants for a range of other activities—especially on days when the thought of jeans makes me groan. Paired with an oversized sweater and tennis shoes, these leggings could easily be part of my running errands uniform. Considering style icons like Gigi Hadid have deemed stretchy pants chic enough to wear outside of the gym, I’m definitely on board as well.

Although there are thousands of black leggings on the market, they’re not all created equal. One scroll through the reviews section of this “buttery soft” pair makes it clear that it stands out from the rest. A shopper reported their “butt looks amazing” in the pants, adding that they fit “like shapewear.” Another reviewer noted they “actually lift” their butt, while a third person deemed the pair a “butt lift on a budget.”
