Ben Affleck may have opened up about his split from Jennifer Lopez, but apparently, he doesn’t want to keep the conversation going. 

“Ben’s doing well. The GQ story was kind of all about clearing the air one last time,” a source explained to People. “He’s done talking about JLo. He’s not proud that their marriage didn’t work out. He didn’t want to hurt her. But now he wants to just focus on his kids and work.”

The source added that Affleck was “very passionate about work and excited about upcoming projects,” before adding, “He thrives when he’s busy.”

Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024 two years after the pair tied the knot. The divorce was settled in January. Affleck recently shared details about the split to British GQ, explaining that the reasons for their divorce were more complicated than many people might have assumed.

“There’s a tendency to look at breakups and want to identify root causes or something,” he said in the interview. “But honestly, […] the truth is much more quotidian than probably people would believe or would be interesting.”

He went on: “There’s no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue. There is no, ‘This is what happened..'” He later added, “As you get older, this is true for me, I assume it’s true for most people, there is no ‘So-and-so did this’ or ‘This was the big event.'”

According to other sources, Affleck has started “casually dating” since the divorce. Lopez has also spoken out about life after her relationship with Affleck. “Being in a relationship doesn’t define me,” she said to Nikki Glaser in Interview Magazine. “I am capable of joy and happiness all by myself.”
