Rivian and Ben & Jerry’s have partnered to introduce an innovative electric ice cream truck. The collaboration repurposes Rivian’s all-electric Commercial Van into a mobile ice cream delivery system. The venture blends the nostalgic appeal of traditional scoop trucks with modern, zero-emission technology.

The Rivian x Ben & Jerry’s electric ice cream truck debuted at South by Southwest and will tour select US locations. Designed to maintain operational reliability while significantly reducing environmental impact, the vehicle has an estimated range of 161 miles per charge.

The trucks aim to support frequent events and catering operations without the carbon footprint of conventional fuel-powered alternatives. For Rivian, this partnership serves as a real-world demonstration of its Commercial Van’s versatility, which could potentially encourage other businesses to explore electric fleet solutions.
