Fashion and technology came together at Lakmē Fashion Week when designer Amit Aggarwal partnered with the tech brand, Nothing.

Two diverse brands came together at Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI for a fashion and tech experience that was an innovative showcase on the runway.
Amit Aggarwal’s presentation in partnership with Nothing brought a new dimension to fashion. The recently launched Nothing Phone (3a) proved to be the perfect inspiration for Amit Aggarwal’s design exploration. Nothing’s philosophy has always been to showcase its technology instead of concealing it, which in turn was the guiding light of the new Prét line by Amit.
Redefining the ready-to-wear concept of the future, Amit’s focus continued to visualise easy-to-wear clothes that brought heritage in a new format of form and texture. Known for his classic, sharp tailoring, Amit’s unexpected drapes brought to centre-state fashion forward practical silhouettes. Cropped jackets along with light weight separates were the leitmotif of the collection, while easy, asymmetric hemlines ensured unconventional edging.
Comfort was the key word that described the collection, as the structured but fluid silhouettes brought flowing imagery on the ramp. Adding easy-layered pieces with bold details, Amit engaged the buyers in a mix-and-match story that will reveal their personalities and showcase fashion and its functional aspects.
The fabric story for Amit has always been of prime importance. This season, he focused on Benaras brocade with a modern twist and combined it artfully with his signature handwoven polymer that created a great merger of craftsmanship, innovation, tradition and the future.
The infinity motifs were a constant in the collection, along with rich jewel tones and playful embellishments like sequins for the footwear and metallic accents on outerwear.
“This collection is about freedom—clothes that move with you, adapt to you, and evolve with your style,” said designer Amit Aggarwal. “Fashion should be effortless yet expressive. These pieces are designed to be worn your way, mixed with what you already love, and styled to feel uniquely you.”
The men’s and women’s wear collection had a marked fusion look with bold and, at times, daring detailing that have been part of Amit Aggarwal’s design sensibilities.
Bollywood’s talented star Bhumi Pednekar made a stylish entry to end the show in a crisp, white silk shirt, brocade corset and tie teamed with black, baggy pants.
The Amit Aggarwal and Nothing showcase was a unique presentation that formed a great synergy on the runway as it unveiled redefined prét fashion with contemporary technology.
