I Kinda Want to Convert This Adorable Log Cabin Tiny House Into a Vacation Rental—It’s That Cute

It’s long been my dream to buy a house in Vermont. I’ve been spending time in the Green Mountain State ever since I was little because my parents bought a vacation home there in the ‘80s. Since then, I’ve always wanted my own—to visit myself and to rent out as an Airbnb—but lately I’ve been thinking of buying property instead to plop a prefabricated tiny house right on the land. And I might’ve found “the one.”
The Allwood Escape tiny house is undeniably tiny at only 108 square feet, but it’s undeniably adorable. It’s one of the smallest tiny homes I’ve found; the all-wood front door opens up to one, studio-style living space, which is also wood paneled from top to bottom. Many other tiny homes feature a covered porch or a rooftop deck, and some even come with plumbing and electricity pre-installed, but I like the simplicity of this one. I can picture it on a few acres, lined by Vermont sugar maple trees that will provide enough of a backdrop without any additional outdoor decor.

This Amazon tiny house is customizable, too, which offers a lot of creative reign to put my personal stamp on it. (And this girl loves a project.) You can add a third-party bathroom and shower kit inside to make it more livable and rentable, too. Of course, an installation like that requires a more practiced hand, and I’m not exactly handy, but thank goodness there’s a plumber in the family!
Customers also have the option of purchasing add-ons to the basic kit, including extra layers of wall planks. One plank is $199, but if you purchase two wall planks, the total is discounted to $369. Each addition adds 5 feet x 12 inches to the wall, raising the height the perfect amount for building an interior loft. Plus, any additions will be added to your Amazon order, and the cabin kit and planks will ship together.

This rustic, log cabin-esque tiny house also features a charming double casement window that conveniently opens outward—not inward—to maximize the cabin’s interior space. The window, which measures 47 x 30.75 inches, can be easily unlatched to let in more natural lighting, or the fresh mountain air.
If you’re feeling extra handy, you can add more windows by cutting into the walls and installing a window kit. But again, that kind of handiwork isn’t for everyone. That task sounds like something I’d have to enlist the help of the aforementioned brother-in-law for. (Is this his project or mine?)

I can’t say I’m ready to commit to this $8,164 purchase quite yet, but one day, I know I’ll turn this dream Vermont home fantasy into a reality. Stay tuned for an Airbnb listing… You never know! In the meantime, this might actually be the tiny home for you. Whether you borrow my vision to rent this rustic retreat, convert it into a studio or hangout, or use it as a home-away-from-home escape, it may just be the tiny-sized log cabin of your dreams. After all, this tiny house model is quite literally called “Escape.” Check out more Amazon tiny houses below.
