Pakistan’s military media wing has released a new patriotic song ahead of Pakistan Day on March 23, with vocals by acclaimed singer Atif Aslam.

Titled Mere Mehboob Pakistan, Meri Jaan Pakistan, the anthem was launched by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) to mark the national occasion, Express News reported.

The song aims to celebrate unity, resilience and a shared commitment to national progress.

The lyrics were penned by renowned poet and lyricist Imran Raza, while the composition carries a strong message of national solidarity under the slogan “Ek Dil, Ek Jaan, Ek Pakistan” (One Heart, One Soul, One Pakistan).

ISPR said the song reflects the spirit of patriotism and highlights the ideals of peace, stability and development. It serves not only as a musical tribute but also as a symbolic reaffirmation of the country’s collective aspirations.

Public response to the anthem has been largely positive, with widespread praise for its emotional resonance and powerful delivery.

Pakistan Day is commemorated annually on 23 March to mark the Lahore Resolution of 1940, a foundational moment in the country’s independence movement.

The release of the anthem is part of broader celebrations including military parades, cultural events and official ceremonies held nationwide.
