Lakmē Fashion Week x FDCI: Actor Karisma Kapoor exuded timeless elegance as Lakmē Salon x Satya Paul’s muse! Channelling her love for black and white and the versatile Indian drape, Karisma Kapoor turned showstopper in a monochrome saree.
“You all know how much I sarees and also how much I love black and white, so I am very happy today. I think this outfit is bold and speaks of today’s woman. I would wear this saree in my personal life too,” shares Karisma Kapoor. Karisma’s black and white sequin saree was paired with a black and white striped full-sleeved shirt, adding a modern take to the traditional blouse.
A celebration of self-expression, Karisma Kapoor beamed with confidence and grace as she spoke about the showstopper look she adorned for the show. Effortless yet powerful, Karisma accessorised the look with a sleek black belt.
Karisma sashayed down the runway looking ethereal in the perfectly styled saree adding desi glam to her showstopper look. Elated to be a part of the showcase, featuring her favourite designer duo David Abraham and Rakesh Thakore, Karisma shared how good she felt being a part of this vibrant and colourful showcase.
A perfect amalgamation of fashion and art, Karisma’s saree played the perfect canvas to accentuate the signature prints from the collection. Satya Paul’s collection Alchemy envisioned by David Abraham, Rakesh Thakore and Kevin Nigli dazzled with a bold symphony of colour, print, and fluid silhouettes.
“It has been a great pleasure and honour to walk for Satya Paul and especially for this collection created by the great Abraham & Thakore. I am a fan of theirs. I love their work and I always wear their designs. So this great combination of having them create this beautiful line for Satya Paul has been amazing. And Lakme Salon thank you for being a partner in this endeavour,” expresses Karisma Kapoor.
Inspired by mid-century modernists Ellsworth Kelly and Henri Matisse, the designs celebrated fearless individuality through abstract brilliance. Flowing kaftans, striking tunics, and sophisticated dresses made a statement across the runway, embodying a wardrobe that seamlessly transitions from day to night.
