Kate Middleton and Prince William Will Undertake Joint Engagements “Whenever Possible,” Royal Commentator Says
As they get deeper into 2025, it seems Prince William and Kate Middleton will be adopting a “better together” approach.
Though the Prince of Wales undertook a two-day trip to Estonia earlier this month solo, he and the Princess of Wales have been seen out together plenty so far this year, from January’s Holocaust Memorial Day appearance in London to a February visit to Wales to March’s Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey to watching the Six Nations rugby match between England and Wales in Wales.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that William and Kate will likely perform joint engagements “whenever possible,” because “they are the world’s most glamorous royal couple.”
That said, Fitzwilliams cautioned to maybe not expect too much too soon, as Kate is still resuming normalcy after a tumultuous 2024 that saw her diagnosed with cancer. (She announced in January that she is in remission.) “Obviously things have altered, and it will take time, a considerable time,” Fitzwilliams said on March 29.
“We know that she’s still got a long way to go, and we know also things are progressing in the right direction, as she’s in remission,” he added.

In addition to the couple genuinely enjoying time together, the public has an appetite for William and Kate as a duo, Fitzwilliams continued: “There’s no doubt that the interest in them as a couple is absolutely vast,” he said.

“Part of their appeal is the fact that they have taken certain charitable activities, William and the Earthshot Prize and mental health, Catherine with the early years,” Fitzwilliams told GB News, adding that when “looking at the future of the monarchy,” it’s all about the future king and queen.
“If you look at the polls, both of them are tremendously popular and as a team, they’re unbeatable,” Fitzwilliams added.
