Meghan Markle Sends Handwritten Note to Podcaster Who Previously Said She Was “Scared” for Her

Meghan Markle isn’t just listening to feedback about her Netflix series With Love, Meghan—she’s directly responding to it, and in a cheeky way at that.

Popular podcaster Amanda Hirsch, who hosts the show Not Skinny But Not Fat, commented “You guys I’m scared for Meghan” after Meghan released the With Love, Meghan trailer in January. In an Instagram Story on March 19, Hirsch clarified what exactly she was scared about, writing, “Remember I said I was scared for Meghan’s new show and the possible hate that she would get bc for some reason ppl wanna hate on her about everything?”

In another Instagram story Wednesday, Hirsch held up an envelope, asking her fans, “You guys, I just got a letter. I was like what is this, what is this, what is this? Started thinking what it could be. Any guesses?”

It was a letter from the Duchess of Sussex herself, handwritten in her calligraphy script. The note—featuring Meghan’s “M” monogram at the top—read, “Dear Amanda, I heard you were feeling scared. Don’t be! This is the fun part—let’s enjoy it.” It was dated “March 2025” and she signed off, very on brand (get it?), “As ever, Meghan.”

On Hirsch’s Instagram Story on March 19, she showed the letter overlaid with text reading, simply, “Ahhhhhhhh.” Hirsch then showed the letter in its entirety, writing alongside it, “Like, obviously framing this. Did I smell the paper? Yes! Do I want my own monogram? Yes. Am I absolutely flabbergasted and obsessed. FUCK. YES.”

Tagging Meghan’s Instagram handle, Hirsch concluded, “you have a fan for life.”

In a post about the letter—as opposed to Hirsch’s Instagram Stories—the podcaster wrote, “OH MY DUCHESS.”

Hirsch needn’t have worried—though, of course, there is the (unfortunate) requisite hate that comes with being Meghan, the show was renewed for a second season (out later this year) and With Love, Meghan cracked Netflix’s global top 10 both in the U.S. and the U.K.

Of her show, Meghan previously told People that its name was inspired by a friend, and the Duchess of Sussex said the name With Love, Meghan “felt right” because of that. Of her friends, she said, “Their takeaway was they were so happy to see me as myself. She said, ‘It’s like your love letter to all the things you’ve loved to do, and if you’re signing off a love letter, it’s ‘With love, Meghan.’”
