Morgan Wallen makes ‘SNL’ comeback after 2020 controversy
Morgan Wallen made his return as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live, five years after he got under fire for his debut performance.
The 31-year-old country star returned to the stage on March 29th, in the episode hosted by Mikey Madison.
The Anora star hosted the show after she won the Oscar for her role in the movie.
Wallen began his performance with his soon-to-be-released track, I’m the Problem, from his upcoming album of the same title.
The country singer returned later in the show to sing Just in Case from the same LP.
This comes after Wallen made a controversial debut on the show in 2020. His original performance was cancelled after he was seen kissing multiple college women and partying without masks in Alabama, neglecting COVID-19 protocols.
Later, during his appearance, Wallen performed 7 Summers, and Still Goin’ Down. He also participated in a comedic sketch which made fun of the controversy surrounding himself.
Earlier this year, he announced his fourth studio album, after his third LP, One Thing at a Time, achieved chart-topping success.
Wallen is also set to go on his tour, in support of the upcoming LP. The I’m the Problem Tour will include 19 stadium shows in 10 U.S. cities, as well as two stops in Canada.
