No celebration feels complete without a cake. But buying from the market often means dealing with adulteration, uncertain quality, and extra cost. The good news is you don’t need a microwave or oven to bake a delicious cake at home! With just a pan or a wok, you can make soft and fluffy cupcakes in just 30 minutes. Here’s the easiest way to do it.
Ingredients for Cupcakes:
- 1 cup semolina
- ½ cup sugar ⅓ cup curd
- ¼ cup milk
- ⅓ cup desi ghee
- 1 tbsp coconut powder
- 1 tbsp baking soda
Method:
Step 1: Prepare the Semolina Mixture
Grind semolina and sugar together in a mixer. In a bowl, mix desi ghee and milk, then add the ground semolina-sugar mixture. Stir well and let it rest for 30 to 45 minutes so that the semolina absorbs the liquid and thickens.
Step 2: Make the Batter
Once the mixture is ready, add coconut powder and baking soda. Mix well using a spoon and add 2 more spoons of milk. Your cupcake batter is now ready. Line a steel bowl with baking paper and pour in the batter, filling only halfway, as the cupcakes will double in size when baked.
Step 3: Bake Using a Pan or Wok
You can bake the cupcakes using either a pan or a wok.
In A Pan: Place a plate inside the pan, set the cupcake bowl on top, cover with a lid, and let it cook.
In A Wok: Add salt to the base, place a stand, set the cupcake bowl on it, and cover. After 30 minutes, your soft and delicious cupcakes will be ready to serve. Enjoy them warm with your favourite toppings!
