Nushrratt Bharuccha turned muse for NIF Global – The Runway Show at Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI.

Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI runway was graced by the very stylish actor Nushrratt Bharuccha, who nailed her showstopper walk like a boss. Nushrratt turned muse for NIF Global – The Runway Show on Day 1 of Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI.
Nushrratt Bharuccha adorned an unconventional silhouette with creative layering designed by Ananya Mutta and Himanshi Garg from NIF Global, Gandhinagar. All of the 19 young, talented fashion design students impressed Nushrratt with their craftsmanship.
Nushrratt did point out how talented these young designers were and was shocked to learn that they were only 19. The Janhit Mein Jaari actor jokingly expressed that when she was 19, all she did was sleep. However, Nushrratt also went to congratulate every talented student who showcased their collection at the show.
“Comfortable” is how Nushrat described the showstopper ensemble featuring a four-piece creation comprising a cropped jacket, corset, wide pants, and layered skirt in grey, white and black with a hint of red for the patch pockets from the “Arctic Voyage” collection created by Aanya Mutta and Krishna Thacker, NIF Global, Gandhinagar.
Nushrratt is of the opinion that one’s style or fashion choices should be an extension of who you are. “I am urban and I am a nomad also, which is why this look was perfect,” says Nushrratt, adding, “I like a little bit of things off.” Wonder why she said that? Well, Nushrratt here is referring to the pants she styled in, which wasn’t the regular full-length pants. “I am very comfortable in this outfit,” adds Nushrratt.
The showstopper look may have been unconventional for a Bollywood star to adorn, but we love how Nushrratt embraced it with the right amount of confidence and charm. When asked what she felt about being a part of Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI this season, she shared that the platform is a perfect place to watch an array of designers, be it upcoming or established. A one-stop shop, indeed!
Day 1 of Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI saw celebrity showtoppers such as Karisma Kapoor, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Leander Paes, Shalin Bhanot grace the runway.
Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI is on till March 30, 2025 and will see showcases by an array of fashion designers, including Falguni Shane Peacock, Rahul Mishra, Shivan and Narresh, S&N by Shantnu & Nikhil, OTT by Tarun Tahiliani, Amit Aggarwal and many more.
