On Friday morning, Princess Anne was seen leaving Clarence House in a black Bentley just moments before King Charles pulled out in a black Audi while waving out the window to well-wishes. According to Hello!, it is believed that the king is heading to his Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire.

Buckingham Palace confirmed the king’s hospital stay and subsequent postponement of engagements on Thursday. “Following scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer this morning, the king experienced temporary side effects that required a short period of observation in hospital. His majesty’s afternoon engagements were therefore postponed,” the statement shared with People read. “His majesty has now returned to Clarence House and as a precautionary measure, acting on medical advice, tomorrow’s diary programme will also be rescheduled.”

The palace also apologized to “those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.”

According to royal aides, Charles’s stint in the London Clinic was merely a “most minor bump in the road that’s very much heading in the right direction,” per The Times.

Anne made time in her busy schedule to see her brother, as The Sun reports that the princess made her way over to Buckingham Palace shortly after her morning visit for an investiture ceremony. At just 21 months a part, the two have had a close relationship since childhood. According to Us Weekly, the siblings have also shared many hobbies over the years, including horse-back riding, gardening, and attending polo matches.
