Unapologetically Sustainable! Best describes the fabric of the future – R|Elan™. R|Elan™ presented Athleisure Redefined by Namrata Joshipura at Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) on Day 2.
Keeping up with the bold energy of the collection the runway transformed into a rugby field creating an ambience which blended sporty style with street glamour.
Malaika Arora turned muse for the R|Elan™ presents Athleisure Redefined by Namrata Joshipura show.
A seamless confluence of function and fashion, the collection was designed for the woman on the move. Whether she’s conquering miles, sweating it out in the gym or simply making a statement at a lounge, each piece from Athleisure Redefined was a reflection of that rhythm.
The high-energy showcase was opened by the very talented actor Kubbra Sait and was closed by the timeless beauty Malaika Arora. Models walked down the ramp in an array of sculpted bodysuits, statement puffer jackets, high-impact singlets, shorts, and elevated tees that celebrated Namrata’s vision with a sustainable edge.
Present at the showcase, Hemant D. Sharma, President – Polyester, Reliance Industries Limited, shared that at Reliance they are committed to sustainability and the collection Athleisure Redefined features close to 50 plus varieties of R|Elan™ fabrics.
Partnering with R|Elan™, Namrata Joshipura embraced eco-friendly fabrics in the collection such as R|Elan™ GreenGold, crafted from recycled PET bottles, and innovative technologies such as R|Elan™ Kooltex, ensuring functionality, style and sustainability.
Speaking about the collection and celebrating innovation with R|Elan™, Namrata Joshipura shares, “Athleisure Redefined was about elevated activewear that goes from the gym to the lounge and to your airport look. The outfit which Malaika Arora wore is from made from the star fabric R|Elan™ GreenGold, which is made from recycled PET bottles.”
Just like Namrata, for Malaika Arora too it was her first time working with R|Elan™ and she expressed that feels it is fantastic to be a part of a collection that is backed by R|Elan™. Malaika Arora looked glamorous in a shimmery black onesie paired with a cropped jacket. Kubbra’s ensembles played with colours and textures and stood out on the runway.
