Robert Irwin Is All Grown Up in a Nearly Naked Underwear Campaign
Ever wondered what a wild Robert Irwin looks like in his natural habitat? Wonder no more because Australian underwear brand, Bonds, just gifted us with a glimpse of what’s down under (I’m talking about Australia, of course) with a new campaign starring wildlife activist Robert Irwin. The son of the late great “Crocodile Hunter,” Steve Irwin, is all grown up.
On Thursday, the company released a slew of sexy photos of the conservationist modeling different styles of boxer briefs. The 21-year-old, however, wasn’t alone—he was joined by some of his scaly friends. In one photo, he lounged in a grassy field with a rather large spider perched on his shoulder.

In another shot, Irwin posed in a chair with a snake wrapped around his neck. One sweet photo even captured the wildlife enthusiast cradling a large lizard while showing off his biceps in a white ribbed tank and a teal pair of underwear.

The brand also released a campaign video featuring Irwin sitting in a chair while sipping on a glass of water as a snake hisses by his head and a tarantula crawls on his leg. “How is it Australians are so laid back?” he asks in a voiceover. “It’s simple. They’re all wearing comfy undies.”
The camera then pans out to show a huge alligator sitting in front of Irwin, who is calm, cool, and collected as he looks the giant reptile in the eyes.
Irwin spoke with People about the modeling gig, calling it a “pretty immediate yes.”
“I wish I could say I was very suave and cool about the whole thing, but I was like, ‘Yes! Let’s do it!’ Because Bonds in Australia is an absolute icon,” he adds. “Also, I’m at this point in my life where I’m trying to do as many different and random exciting things, and if it’s something that makes me a little bit nervous, that I’ve never done before and it’s a bit of an adrenaline rush? That’s what I want to be doing.”
