Saka returns to Arsenal squad for Fulham clash

Bukayo Saka is back in the Arsenal squad for Tuesday’s game against Fulham, ending a three-month spell on the sidelines.

Saka, 23, hasn’t featured for Arsenal since injuring his hamstring at Crystal Palace just before Christmas, with the England star forced into surgery and a rehabilitation programme.

But Mikel Arteta — after talking up his comeback in the pre-match news conference — has named Saka on the substitutes’ bench for the visit of Fulham at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.

Saka is on a bench that includes Raheem Sterling and Leandro Trossard, with Ethan Nwaneri and Gabriel Martinelli selected as the starting wingers.

Arsenal are second in the Premier League and are looking to boost their slim hopes of a title challenge against leaders Liverpool, while Fulham lie eighth.
