
Talenti’s New Bakery-Inspired Gelato Flavors Are Here—and They’re Packed with Cookie Pieces
Desserts are more enjoyable when you get to dig into layers, like in trifles, cakes, or anything with an unexpected surprise inside. Talenti is leaning into this universal truth with their new Bakery Collection inspired by our favorite tiered treats.
To celebrate the updated lineup, Talenti teamed up with pastry chef Dominique Ansel, who created The Dipped Whisk, an exclusive dessert. The golden keepsake is layered (no surprise there) with notes from all three new drops, and it’s available—for free—for a very limited time. Here are all the sweet details and what makes this dessert collection a must-try.
About the New Bakery-Inspired Flavors
The Bakery Collection includes three new flavors: Chocolate Chip Cookie Batter, Italian Tiramisu, and Snickerdoodle Cookie—but don’t worry, no one will make you pick favorites. The launch has Chef Ansel especially inspired, and we’re right there with him.
“I’m so excited to partner with Talenti to celebrate the launch of their new Layers Bakery Collection,” Ansel said in a press release. “I am so impressed by Talenti’s dedication to quality and authenticity in flavor, and more importantly, their passion for creativity and innovation.”
Each option is based on a classic dessert and has four layers in addition to a creamy, custom gelato flavor. Here’s a closer look:
- Snickerdoodle Cookie: Inspired by a warm cinnamon snickerdoodle, with layers of snickerdoodle cookie batter gelato, cinnamon cookie pieces, snickerdoodle cookie batter, Madagascan vanilla gelato, and cinnamon cookie pieces.
- Italian Tiramisu: Based on traditional Tiramisu, with layers of mascarpone gelato, soft vanilla cookie pieces, espresso chocolate fudge sauce, cold brew sorbetto, and soft vanilla cookie pieces.
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Batter: Reminiscent of cookie dough ice cream, with layers of chocolate chip cookie batter gelato, shortbread cookie pieces, chocolate chip cookie batter, Madagascan vanilla gelato, and chocolate cookie pieces.
What’s Inside the Dipped Whisk
Ansel put a lot of thought into the commemorative (and partially edible) whisk inspired by the Bakery Collection.
“When they challenged me to develop a dessert inspired by the Bakery Collection, I wanted to create a new and unique way to experience gelato,” said Ansel. “I was inspired by the nostalgia people have for licking cookie batter or cream from a whisk while baking, so we constructed the dessert on top of a whisk.”
Each whisk is loaded with snickerdoodle cookie pieces, Madagascar vanilla bean gelato, shortbread cookie pieces, espresso fudge sauce, and chocolate cookie pieces—all tucked inside a vanilla Chantilly-covered wafer cone.

Ansel, who is now the brand’s new chef ambassador, said this was just the beginning of fun desserts, and the NYC-based chef is sharing his creation (for free!) at Dominique Ansel Bakery in NYC. Visit the shop from March 28 through March 30 at 8 a.m. daily to pick up one while supplies last—there are only 100 available.
