Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Coordinated Looks For Dinner at a Chain Restaurant: ‘She Just Like Me’
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are a couple with range.
Just a few days after the pair were reportedly spotted on a “hush-hush date night” at a fancy “members-only speakeasy” in New York City, the pop star and NFL player opted for a much more relatable vibe for their latest outing.
On March 14, Swift and Kelce spent their Friday night at Del Frisco’s Grille, a chain steakhouse located at the Brookfield Place shopping center in Manhattan. According to People, they spent over three hours at the “upscale bar & grille,” which boasts “a lively atmosphere” on its Instagram page.
For the occasion, Swift paired an oversized grey blazer and burgundy heels with one of her favored black miniskirts or dresses. Meanwhile, Kelce kept things casual in an open light grey button-up, white t-shirt, and jeans. You can see the slightly blurry paparazzi shots here.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been keeping a low profile since the end of football season, though the pair were briefly spotted in Park City, Utah earlier this month. “They’ve been traveling, spending precious time together and letting the rest of the world go for a bit,” a source told Us Weekly earlier this week.
According to the publication, the couple recently joined a group of friends at New York City’s Crane Club on March 12, though they reportedly arrived separately. “Taylor didn’t arrive until 11 p.m. There were seven people there, including them,” one source told Us Weekly. “They all stayed until 3 a.m. The group were all laughing and having a great time.”
According to Page Six, the group spent the evening in the members-only speakeasy located downstairs. Either way, the Crane Club is definitely a more exclusive and expensive vibe than Friday night spot. For comparison, a bone-in filet mignon at Crane Club costs $125, while a 8 oz filet mignon at Del Frisco’s will run you $53.
Even though Del Frisco is hardly a Chilis, Deux Moi’s Instagram comment section was filled with praise and light-hearted jokes about their most recent date night spot. “A chain restaurant. We love to see it,” one fan wrote, while another commented, “She just like me.”
“I wonder if they got the cheeseburger egg rolls,” another fan commented, referencing one of the steakhouse’s signature dishes (which are actually described as “cheesesteak eggrolls” on their menu). Yet another wrote, “I saw Taylor Swift going to Del Frisco’s Grille for dinner so I went to Del Frisco’s Grille for dinner.”
As one Instagram user put it, the power couple’s date night was the “best marketing Del Frisco’s could have ever imagined.” Start making those anniversary dinner reservations ASAP.
