The Disturbing Fashion Detail You Missed in the ‘White Lotus’ Incest Plot
Post-Full Moon Party, the level of dysfunction at the White Lotus hotel has officially reached a fever pitch. The once-quietly toxic best friends are now openly throwing jabs, Victoria Ratliff has announced she doesn’t think life is worth living if you’re poor (much to Timothy’s horror), and of course, that incestuous brotherly kiss between the Ratfliff brothers Lochlan and Saxon (played by Sam Nivola and Patrick Schwarzenegger) just took a very disturbing turn. In episode six, Lochlan and Saxon grapple with the nauseating realization that they had a threesome—and of course, Mike White had to throw in a morning-after fashion Easter egg calling out their ménage à trois.
The episode shows the revelers waking up on the yacht in the morning and having a serious case of hangover regret as they remember what happened the night before. Charlotte Le Bon’s Chloe tells Aimee Lou Wood’s Chelsea that she hooked up with both Ratliff brothers after the Full Moon Party, and Lochlan and Saxon—who wake up naked in the same bed—deal with disturbing flashbacks of their sexual escapades.

A disoriented Saxon wakes up first, looking over at his brother in horror and pulling on a pair of printed shorts as he leaves the room. It turns out that the shorts—which look oddly short and tight on Saxon as he paces the yacht deck—actually belong to his younger brother, a disturbing yet intentional sartorial nod to what happened the night before.

Meanwhile, a visibly uncomfortable Lochlan joins his older brother wearing Saxon’s orange-and-lavender striped shorts from the night before. He feigns blacking out the events of the night as Saxon begins piecing together their horrifying evening together. He remembers seeing his younger brother and Chloe having sex in the bed next to him while he masturbates—or so it seems. Viewers soon find out that it was actually Lochlan’s hand getting his brother off, and a very nauseated Saxon isn’t the only one retching when he makes the connection.

Schwarzenegger teased this subtle sartorial clue on Instagram, sharing several close-ups of Saxon wearing the undersized shorts while looking shaken up by his actions. “A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words,” he appropriately captioned the carousel.
Viewers will have to wait until episode 6 to see how the increasingly distraught Ratliff brothers deal with the fallout of their incestuous evening—especially since Chloe and Chelsea are all too happy to remind them of what happened—as they head to dinner at Greg’s house.
