The Omaze London house draw is next door to Borough Market – and the interiors might be their best yet

The Omaze house grand prize draw moves all around the country, from bucolic settings to coastal locations but their latest offering is a £4.5 million Georgian house on London’s Southbank. Set across five storeys, the house is about as enviable as they come, coupling beautiful architecture with a wonderful location – and lovely interiors to boot. In fact, we’d go so far as to say interiors-wise, this might be the best house Omaze has offered yet, with a much more lived-in, layered feel than previous houses. This is a huge plus of course, as the house comes fully furnished, ready for the winners to move straight in – or rent it out or sell it on, as they see fit.

The house is a beautiful brick Georgian pile, moments from South Bank and with the added benefit of a south-facing courtyard garden. What’s more, the garden was designed by a Chelsea Flower Show gold medal award winning studio, though Omaze has not detailed precisely who that is. Regardless, they have created an urban oasis of green space, with a lawn, seated area surrounding a firepit and shaded by an adjacent pergola and beautiful planting. The Shard is in view from the garden (and house), and the train line trundles by into neighbouring London Bridge.

It’s very much a city house, as the view suggests, located right in the heart of vibrant south London with many iconic locations on the doorstep: Borough Market, Southbank and Tate Modern are all extremely close. What this means is that it would be a very convenient place to live for city dwellers, or could fetch between £8,000 – £10,000 a month on the rental market. As for its value, the house is believed to be worth around £4.5 million.
