If your friend group plans never seem to materialise, these seven friends from England can be your inspiration. These seven men have prioritised their annual trips for the past 20 years. And the catch is, only one of them knows the destination till they all land at the airport to leave.

According to the Daily Star, 40-year-old Thomas Wayman and his six friends Luke, Alex, Matthew, Chris, Martin, and Mike have been together since school. Each year, one friend takes charge of planning and booking the entire trip, but the destination remains a surprise until all they arrive at the airport.

According to the report, their first trip, as university students, was to Cornwall. Since then, they haven’t missed a single year of travelling together. From Norwich to Barcelona, Prague to Berlin, their adventures have taken them to numerous cities. The friends have spent £30,000 (over Rs 32 lakh) on these trips but remain committed to continuing the tradition.

The group has set a rule, that their annual trips should not exceed £250 (around Rs 27,000) per person. Even the pandemic couldn’t break their streak. As they approach the 20th anniversary of their travel tradition next year, one friend will once again take the responsibility of planning and booking. Over the years, their bond has strengthened, with the friends becoming godparents to each other’s children.
