1. Travel Photo Books

“I love memory books, but I’ve never had the patience (or the time!) for traditional scrapbooking. I designed these travel photo books for myself after my honeymoon and they turned out perfectly. They make adorable coffee table books and the design process couldn’t have been easier.”

2. Heirloom Cookware

“Some of my earliest memories are cooking with my mom’s Dansk Kobenstyle pans that my parents got as wedding gifts. When I got my first apartment after graduating, my mom gave me my own saucepan—in an updated teal rather than the yellow she had. Every time I use it, I think back to learning to cook and bake with her in my childhood kitchen.”

3. A House Cleaner

“With two kids (2 and under) and our full-time jobs there was never a moment to scrub tubs and deep clean the house. Neither my husband or I can tolerate messes, so we were losing it! My husband researched and hired a cleaning person to come once a month, so I can feel comfortable in my house again. Though we pay monthly, it’s a gift that keeps on giving!”

4. Nespresso VertuoPlus

“I didn’t know at-home coffee could taste so good until I was gifted my beloved Nespresso Vertuo machine. I use mine every day (multiple times) to brew regular coffee and espresso for cafe-style lattes and mochas. My favorite part about the Nespresso is that it brews your coffee and espresso with a layer of foamy crema on top. While it is more expensive than a typical coffee pot, I promise this machine is worth every penny.”

5. All-Clad Cookware

“While not a Christmas present, I received a set of All-Clad cookware from my parents as a wedding gift and I can truly say it’s the best gift I have ever received. They are definitely an investment, but it’s said that they will last a lifetime if properly cared for. They heat quickly and evenly, and my favorite part is that they’re all completely non-toxic. Plus, every time I cook (which is daily), I think of my parents!”

6. Hope Chest

“Historically, a hope chest is a wooden trunk used by single young women to store items in anticipation of a happy future marriage. After growing up with one herself, my mom gifted me a beautiful antique trunk when I first moved out on my own in my 20s. I’ve extended the sentiment beyond marriage (though I am getting married next year!) and filled it with keepsakes such as my first published story in a magazine, a children’s bedtime picture book, and photos I want to share with my family in the future.”

7. Personalized Pet Mug

“I received this custom pet mug with a photo of my cat on it, and it’s one of my favorite things. I look forward to my afternoon latte, not because I need the caffeine, but because I usually reach for this sweet gift and it makes me smile. I’ve already ordered these for several family members’ Christmas gifts!”

8. Handmade Laptop Stand

One year I asked for a laptop stand for a more ergonomic user experience. While my husband could have just bought one for me, he designed and built one out of wood that I really love because of the extra effort he put into it (and also because now I don’t get neck cricks when using my computer).

9. Romantasy Books

“A friend recommended A Court of Thorns and Roses to me, and I admit I was skeptical. I’m a longtime reader but had never picked up a fantasy romance book. The set sat on my shelf for a long time, but as soon as I picked it up, I was hooked. Not to be dramatic, but it changed my life. I now love the genre and try to keep up with all the new releases. I’m currently not-so-patiently waiting for the third installment of the Fourth Wing series.”
