In the nonchalant and stripped-back cover photograph, the current face of Max Mara gazes down Backoff’s lens wearing nothing but a pair of Louis Vuitton tights as chosen for the occasion by Vogue France’s newly-appointed fashion and image director at large Alastair McKimm.
